Supervision for MFTs in Minnesota

I’m so excited to offer supervision for MFT trainees in Minnesota! When I was getting supervised hours towards my LMFT I did not have anyone to supervise me in my own modalities. I want to change that for LAMFTs. Somatic therapies are not just popular, they are changing the ways we work, practice and think about mental health. There’s also a lot to wade through to understand contemporary research and the huge variety of modalities that are labeled as “somatic”. I believe that to develop mature clinical practice, trainees need access to supportive mentorship and good information so they can develop their own ethical practices and sense of identity as clinicians.

Who am I as a supervisor?

  • I have a unique background in structural Bodywork and an MA in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS).

  • I am collaborative, humanistic and work to empower people to do the things that work best for them AND are ethically grounded and based in scientific research.

  • I have experience in a wide variety of environments: community mental health agencies, domestic violence shelters, private practice and hospital settings.

If I want to work with you, what should I do?

Know what to expect:

  1. My rate is $90/hr for supervision with the expectation of meeting weekly to get you, the trainee, the hours you need for licensing.

  2. I am supervised, myself, by Jacqueline Abeling, MA, LMFT, RMFT (Embodied Journeys Psychotherapy, PLLC) as I work towards the AAMFT Supervision credential. She will be supervising my supervision and signing your paperwork.
